Refining the interactive map of the future protected-area system of the world

I gave our team the task of considering the possibility of overlaying the world’s existing protected areas onto the interactive map. Since they will ultimately become the cores of future territories of complete ecological peace, it is logical to highlight them on the map and then place the boundaries of the territories of peace over them. It seems to me like a good idea, although I do not know whether it is technically feasible, since our map is custom-built and needs the ability to process a large volume of data; it may not be possible to overlay the necessary layers. In general, from technical problems to practical implementation, everything remains uncertain. But we have excellent specialists, so I think we will do it.

At the moment, an interactive map has been launched for the project of territories of complete ecological peace on my official website. We have placed it on the Concept page and in the “TPES projects” section, where completed projects will be published with proposals to states on transforming the protected-area system. People will be able to move quickly across the map, find the necessary regions, see cities, settlements, infrastructure, and, on top of all this, the proposed TPES. Each red territory will be linked to a brief reference note with the option to move on to the full project based on the results of the research work: to study the documents, learn more about local problems, and understand the proposal for exactly how to solve the problems in that region through the creation of TPES.
