Reflecting on how to change the world for the better

First. To study the protected-area system of the world and develop projects for future territories of complete ecological peace, primarily where this is possible at all. This especially concerns mountain ecosystems, which in most cases are biological shelters — refugia.

Second. To fill the interactive map so that people can clearly see the proposed territories. A separate project will be attached to each red zone — each TPES — with a detailed proposal to the state, a document, and public work in this direction. In other words, people will be able to use the interactive TPES map, see the proposed changes on a global scale, and assess them regionally. After that, they will be able to study the full projects and take part in them.

Third. Permanent media work. Without the support of millions of people and without the recognized need to change the protected-area system of the world, nothing will work. First, people create a precedent; then political parties and various structures pick it up, especially if it becomes beneficial — politically or commercially. After that, it becomes rooted and turns into a point of support for everyone: people talk about it, promote it in state agendas, and so on.

Fourth. Reaching out and getting to know people around the world. I want to do this personally after the first developments have been prepared and after we are sure that our expeditionary and research work is producing results. We have already identified numerous contacts I want to reach out to: the leadership of small states, including island states, since such projects are easiest to discuss with them; public figures; and I also want to try to enter into dialogue with major corporations and show them a model of how nature protection can be beneficial for them as well. Dialogue is needed — and changes that would help transform business, not destroy it.

Thus, in this global chaos, while states are fighting over power and money, it is important to try to conduct focused research and form a completely new model of the future protected-area system. After that, all of this must be connected through the media field and leading figures into a full-fledged concept of the future, capable of moving epochs. We will not be able to conduct all the research ourselves; this is difficult and impossible without the necessary knowledge and colossal funding. But we are capable of laying the foundation.
