Reflections on future victories
I am currently unable to keep up with my research work: progress on defining the boundaries of the Territories of Full Ecological Tranquility (TFET) is very slow. It is difficult, time-consuming, and costly to travel to the necessary regions of the world. Meanwhile, there are numerous problems in our country—an absolute madness in the rush to "develop the undeveloped." Suddenly, we have over 300,000 bears, reserves are being divided among the wealthy for resource extraction, and ancient forests, including protective ones, are being cut down. Meanwhile, wolves are being exterminated, the Red Book is being diluted, tigers are being targeted for shooting, and no one discusses the causes of these problems—they simply blame wild nature: "It's at fault."
Poor harvests—because of drought.
Massive fires—because of lightning.
Animals approaching humans—because there are too many of them.
No, it’s not people who are taking all the pine nuts from the taiga. And it’s not people setting the Russian Taiga on fire! And it’s not people cutting it down. It’s all Mother Nature’s fault, according to our bureaucrats.
We need to find more balanced approaches to the tasks we undertake. Especially considering there is no funding, and progress is extremely slow on our own. I am currently preparing a unified project based on something I have long wanted to implement—a very large global expedition that could attract millions to our cause and greatly increase the chances of achieving global change! But to do this, resources are needed, and quite substantial ones at that, which is probably my biggest problem. I am still thinking about how to solve this issue. The main difficulty is that plans cannot be publicly announced until we are sure we can implement them.
In a few days, it will be my birthday—October 13. I will spend this time on the far horizons of the Earth, exploring the wilderness and developing the boundaries of the future global reserve system—the Territories of Full Ecological Tranquility (TFET). Until then, I will also be working on the project I mentioned above. I very much hope to realize it.
The key task is to consolidate all areas of work and projects into a single, understandable mechanism of action, through which we could achieve significant results in our struggle.
