All predators of the Russian Taiga are in danger: wolves, bears, and tigers
We have been distracted from our main tasks by the issue of bear extermination. We are unable to keep up with everything we have undertaken. However, there is an extremely serious struggle surrounding bears that requires our assistance. Essentially, there is an attempt to strip them of any protective status in the country and equate them with wolves, who have been without protection for many years. Absolutely. If lobbyists push through their "vested interests," it will mean that both wolves and bears, as key predators of the Russian Taiga, will have the same status as household cockroaches: they can be killed without any limits, and bounties will even be awarded for their extermination "in the name of saving humanity."
Do not forget about the tigers, of which there are only about 750 individuals in our country. There is already a media campaign about the "excessively increased population" and the need to legalize their direct killing. Experts who have been protecting tigers in Russia for decades explicitly state that there is an information campaign by the influential hunting lobby. Red-listed tigers have long become a coveted trophy, and now they are seeking any means to shoot the endangered animal, even under some "special permits."
